Bulls GM Gar Forman announced the media yesterday and still left me puzzled on what the Bulls might do, but also kept me optimistic that a trade might still be in the works for an All-star PF, possibly Amare Stoudemire, Antawan Jamison, or Chris Bosh. The other scenario that could be a possibility of happening is the Bulls packaging their two first round picks(16, 26) to move up to draft possibly Gerald Henderson who the Bulls seem serious to pursue. No way the Bulls pass up an opportunity to get an All-star PF to complement Derrick Rose and give the Bulls a legitimate low-post scorer! That would in my mind definitely make the Bulls a top contender in the Eastern Conference. I could see Deng, Hinrich, Thomas, Noah, all as trade bait; anybody is tradable except for Derrick Rose. They might want to hold on to Salmons and Miller since their contract will be expiring at the end of the 2009-2010 season. I don't see us resigning Ben Gordon, he's too much money and with us not signing him we wouldn't take a hit on the luxury tax next year. That would also free up money getting rid of the contracts like Hinrich or Deng's and the Bulls would be going into the 2010 free agency with bags full of money to possibly sign their All-star PF to a new deal but also could pursue another All-star caliber player. Hmmm??? Who comes to mind?? Oh I know Dwyane Wade. In a recent interview with Waddle and Silvy they asked if he would want to sign with the Bulls. He said "If I could say one thing I would say that I'm blessed to be in a position where I have options. I thank god for those options. 2010, free agency only comes up once so I'm going to make sure that I think about this and do it right." I mean if he really wanted to play for the Heat why won’t he sign the extension?!? He said he wants to make sure their building around him and improving their roster. Riley said that he won't build around him until he signs the contract extension. Doesn't sound like this situation is heading in the right direction and you might see some head bumping. If the Bulls do trade for somebody it might have Wade thinking about that possibility going back home to Chicago with a team that's young and talented it's a dynasty in the making and bringing back the glory days to Chicago might not be that far away.
